Ingredients

  • 12 oz fresh green beans trimmed, or about 4 cups
  • 2-3 cloves garlic minced, or about 1 tsp
  • 2 tsp low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
  • 1 tsp honey

Instructions

  • Wash and trim the green beans if needed. Mince the garlic if not using the prepared version.
  • Heat a large nonstick or stainless steel skillet over high heat. Add the green beans and saute, stirring occasionally, for 7-8 minutes. If needed, use a small amount of neutral cooking oil (such as vegetable or canola) to prevent sticking.
  • Reduce the heat to medium, then add the garlic. Stir to combine, then add the soy sauce, sesame oil, and honey. Stir until the green beans are coated and glazed, cooking about 2 minutes more.
  • Remove from heat and serve, adding an optional garnish like sesame seeds or chili oil (optional). Pair with your main dish or other favorite recipes.

Notes

Store leftover in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. Reheat before serving.
