Cumin Lime Vinaigrette

This easy vinaigrette recipe is bursting with the fresh flavor of lime and cumin. It's a delicious salad dressing for all your salads that don't suck, or pair it with other recipes that could use a boost of flavor. You only need a few simple ingredients and less than five minutes from start to finish.

Ingredients

  • 5 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp lime juice
  • 1/2 tbsp dijon mustard
  • 2 tsp honey
  • 2 cloves garlic minced or grated, about 1 tsp
  • 1 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 to 3/4 tsp chili powder or to taste
  • 1 pinch salt or to taste

Instructions

  • Find a small jar with at least a 1 cup capacity for shaking and a tight-fitting lid. Make sure it's clean and dry.
  • Mince or grate the garlic if not using the prepared version. Add to the jar, along with all other ingredients.
  • Seal the lid tightly and shake vigorously until well combined, about 15 seconds. Serve immediately, or refrigerate and use within one week.

Notes

As written, this recipe yields approximately 1/2 cup (about 8 tablespoons). Adjust the quantities as needed to double or triple the recipe for a larger batch.
